Learning to Share

I’ll admit it, I really don’t like to share my kids. Perhaps this is because I’m not a young mom; I have learned that life passes far too quickly and I know that these days with them will pass so quickly that they will soon be but a magical memory. I’m not willing to parcel out these moments to others, though I know I must.

I need to remember that others can teach them things that I cannot.

I need to remember that I won’t always be here.

I need to remember that it is my job as their mother to provide them with life experiences that will help to mold them into thriving adults.

I vow to take baby steps.  Itty, bitty, tiny baby steps.
